Why are we so afraid of the number thirteen?
It is only an integer between twelve and fourteen.
Mathematics would not be too fine
if there was no square root of one hundred sixty-nine.
If thirteen is unlucky as one man says,
then why is it worn by Alex Rodriguez?
In sports, Alex was not the only man.
The number was also worn by Wilt Chamberlain.
There is one other sports notable everyone should know.
The Dolphins gave the number to Dan Marino.
There are many tall building rising from the ground.
Why can’t one with a thirteenth floor be found?
This is the thirteenth line. I could have stopped here.
I’m adding a fourteenth line for those who have the fear.
