* I do NOT condone lying for any reason other than safety or kindness. *

You ... Like a book ... Did that tongue not just bid me farewell? Yet now it melts, sweet, in my mouth ... Did your palm not just strike my cheek in indignation? Still, now it works frantic to ready me ... Did those eyes not just weep in bitter disregard? But now, they roll back in ecstasy ... It was only an instant from adieu to delirium ... The proper application of three small words ... And one wonderfully wicked ... White ... Lie. ~ 1st Place ~ in the "End April 2018 Standard Any Form" Poetry Contest, Brian Strand, Sponsor.

Greg, this is a sex play bit of word play from a person who knows what they are talking about. Revealing no doubt. The honest vulnerability that is so necessary to good poetry. Congrats with admiration for me.

The face of beauty - wickedness. The face of wickedness - beauty. A wicked winner, for sure. What a write, Gregory! And I didn't even mention the title, the crown jewel, perhaps. Bravo, poet! Best always, Gershon

Thank you so much, my friend - I'm so pleased you enjoyed my poem! (And for others' sake, I am NOT condoning lying to get sexual favors, just writing about the games people play in life and love - not every poem I write is from a personal perspective). Blessings, Gershon! :-)
