Anticipation
What I miss is not wealth or fleeting pleasure,
But your love, a shiny beacon in the dark,
To hold your hands, a soft touch beyond measure,
Your presence, a light, igniting my heart’s spark.
Anticipation’s sweet, enduring treasure,
With you, my heart and the soul will find its mark.
Our reunion soothes this restless, eager tide,
Knowing soon, our hearts beatings will coincide.
