Anti-Vow of Modern Man
I'll marry you, for health and wealth
but not till you're old and gray...
(I'm not opposed to leaving you
for a younger woman someday...)
Don't be surprised, my pet
afterall WE didn't wait
So obviously marriage is not
necessary to conjugate
You believed we were besties
but don't be fooled my dear
Now you are my lust object
or I'll tell everyone you're *****
Now do most the at-home work
and go work outside it too
Money is much more important
than whether you're content or blue
Go ahead and raise the kids
going to church, and praying
But you knew when you married me
I'm not into all that! (Just saying!)
To me, marriage is just a deal
not a holy Sacrament
Guess that means you could annul
if I misunderstood what it meant
