Answers
Why is a question we often ask
With each and every task
We feel the need to know why
Without reason and without rhyme
In every loss and every gain
Whether we're happy or in pain
We feel we need a reason or place
Somewhere in this empty space
To point a finger or place the blame
To explain why things don’t remain the same
We search both high and low
Looking for answers we think we need to know
Unable to accept the fact
The answers aren't always exact
To what we need nor what we want to hear
Nor is it always crystal clear
So we fight to find something new
Doing everything we can do
Cuz the truth we can't accept
And bounds tend to get overstepped
You find yourself full of doubt
Questioning any and everything you thought you knew something about
But sooner or later you will see
Everything is as it should be
Sometimes it's hard to wrap your mind around
But the answers can always be found
It's not always who, when, where, why, or what
But to find the answers to that you must open up
You'll have to search deep down inside
Let go of your anger and your pride
Cuz there is where no lies can hide
Let go and let your heart be your guide
Take a long hard look in the mirror
There the answers you seek will become clearer
Look yourself in the eyes
There you won't find any lies
Listen to your own heart speak
And there…there you will find the truths you seek!!!
