Answering Machine Verse 1

Baby girl what's going on, I know we ain't talked in awhile
But I miss your beautiful face, your walk & your smile
I've been trying to call for quite some time
You're on my mind when I grind, the reason why I write these rhymes
I want you to know that I care for you
I don't want you to go, baby I'm here for you
I know you hate being alone please just pick up the phone & if you doubt my words I'll make the picture crystal clear for you
I swear I'm through with the games I played
But in making amends through forsaken sins I still ain't got a clue what I can do to get you through this pain I made
Early on I was young & dumb, I mean we was basically kids who didn't think with our wits
Looking back on it now I can admit it was foul & I'm sorry for what happened but the mindset I was trapped in wouldn't allow me to stand equipped as your Captain who vowed to sink with the ship
I've tried to apologize & I've been calling but you don't answer so I bite my tongue while asking myself why am I even sweating you though
Than again I'm all in so I take it on the chin, I'll keep calling because we ain't falling & like cancer I ain't letting you go
Lost in thought thinking of you & only you, frozen mind like in a trance or a dream
I snap back to reality just to hit your phone line only to hear your voice again on your answering machine
