Another Today
another today
I will fill my hours
chock full of silliness.
paint my face
clown red with big
peering eyes that
see all that is serious
making me delirious.
I walk into the
forest as far as I am able,
my lunch in
a large coffee can.
munch on may apples
and wild strawberries
leeks fried up with morels
and puffballs.
thankful that my mind wanders
to such delicious places. Here
where I am living in the truest
sense of the word living,
not mere existence.
I open my mouth wide and sing
at the top of my lungs
for only me to hear
and waltz in a clearing I had
found on another silly wandering day.
