Another Day's Journey

Author Dana Redricks August 23, 2023 I’m thankful for another day, blessed to witness the sun’s golden ray. For many have departed, before their prime, leaving behind memories, frozen in time. I’m grateful for the steps I’ve tread, through valleys low and mountains spread. The journey, it was long and tough, yet, here I stand, resilient and enough. Through trials that threatened to swallow me whole, I stumbled and nearly lost my soul. But God, Yahweh, never left my side, guiding me through darkness, like a faithful guide. In moments of doubt, when hope seemed far, when shadows swirled, obscuring every star, it was His hands that pulled me from despair, lovingly whispering, “child, I’m always near.” He wiped my tears, with tenderness and grace, embracing me in His everlasting embrace. With each trial, my spirit grew strong, I found solace, in Yahweh, where I belong. So today, I give thanks for another day, for the chance to live, to laugh, and to pray. I’m grateful for the battles that I’ve won, for the strength to rise as each new day’s sun. For those who departed too soon, I mourn, their presence missed, but in my heart, they’re reborn. I strive to honor their memory, as I go along, embracing each day, with a grateful song. I’m thankful for another day, so dear, for the lessons learned and the dreams held near. Through hardships endured, my soul deeply grew, and for this, my God, I’m eternally thankful to you.
