Another Circle

The sun rose this morning,
Some extra red --

I attribute that to atmospheric dust -- man a manic
Bulk-polluter – taking some personal blame
Last evening’s carousing did not serve A Higher Purpose.

Blank nights prone to bleed into equally unremarkable days –

Since your abrupt departure each dawn has
Become a perverse mirror of profound absence --
Bath and shave, check for new wrinkles, and missing parts

If poor maintenance an occasional inventory of animate sensibilities
Is a wise unscheduled meditation --

Cycles of nameless risings and numberless sets --

Beloved day-launches and warmth of after dusk glitters we shared
Till your guardian Angel took a vacation...or her jealous nature tragically revealed.

Fate and Faith, Worship Therapy mean little to a suffering human heart….

I said to myself this morning, "Self, let's take a walk and get us some fresh air pollution... Thought better of it and stayed indoors.

What really cracks me up, is seeing people jogging during rush hour, breathing in enough car exhaust to give an elephant lung cancer, probably thinking they're being healthy. God Figure.

My Dad keeps his routine…a way to get by. Sorry for your loss, Joe. Heartbreaking.

When you really love someone and have close proximity, it never truly makes sense and hurts. I can’t think too hard about my mom.

One never stops hurting entirely. All what goes into being a poet I guess. Thank you, Kim.

A long time ago. Yep, the ending is simple...from the heart. No frills. Thank you, Andrea.

Your poem reads like mornings that keep arriving without permission, each one reflecting something missing. I can relate to how heavy that is... Your verse: Fate and Faith, Worship Therapy mean little, even inappropriate for a suffering human heart…. is so very very true my friend..

Sometimes people just need to grieve. I did lose a treasured one in a tragic traffic accident years ago -- it took a long time to sort of heal.

Man is responsible for adverse changes in climate. Sorry you couldn't do your morning chores because of the late sunrise. Hope you will enjoy better days in future.
