Anna

...dedicated to the Russian poet Anna Akhmatova.

Her cranium, its bumps and hollows,
cradles secrets stored beneath,
neurons firing, never tiring
of their journeys to belief.

Thin vibrations mold, embolden,
prophecies, cunabula
suffuse the soul, engage the spirit
of the tortured Akhmatova.

Dear Keith - What can I say, other than I am once again under your spell. Your poetry sings of originality "bumps and hollows cradles secrets" and beauty. love, Kathy

i'm not familiar with this poet, but i love the way you focus on her cranium and its "secrets stored beneath." that is just so original and refreshing, which is exactly what poetry should be!
