Lin, I got the same picture in my head as Mark.......Tom Cruise...the situation was probably cause by the conflict between Metric and all those other tiny lines....

I think he needed to spring the trap with a 10 inch spear, then grab that chunk with it and get pulled back up. That might've worked. Thanks, David.
