And then it happened,
You walked right through my door,
You looked deep into my dark blue eyes,
And said you wanted more,
More of the life I was happy to give,
More of the “me” inside you,
You wanted you and me to be more an “us”,
To be one made out of two,
You told me you loved me,
And I nailed each word to my gate,
Inside my heart, inside my love,
I nailed your words, your smell, your taste,
And now, each day, when I walk through the gate,
I walk through with love in my soul,
Love of what we are together,
Through your words, like a rose in a garden, I stroll.
