And It Shall Be Given

Questions ...
        Can I want you ...
               Without drowning in desire?
                     Can I adore you ...
                          Without your pity?
                              Can I hold you ...
                                 Without holding onto you?
                                   Can I touch you ...
                                    Without your skin burning?
                                   Can I taste you ...
                                 Without starving?
                              Can I fall into you ...
                          Without falling for you?
                     Can I love you ...
               Without breaking us both?
        Can I kiss you ...
Without losing my soul?
        Never.
            And so ...
                I will.
