And I Heard

And I heard the geese
Not the domesticated geese
Nor the local geese
But the Canada Geese

And it was Valentine's Day
What an act of love
The Geese came this way
Winter will soon be gone

And Spring will bud
I heard my Savior say
Hope, there's hope in dark hours
Spring will present her flowers..

Yesterday around 2 P.M.
I heard a flock of Canada Geese
On Valentine's Day

My Mother being from Quebec I too see the beauty in these large cumbersome birds and their long journey. But it is your keen, beautiful vision that reveals such wonder and appreciation for God's Creation. God Bless You Sara for sharing your insight. Take care and thank you for all your comments. May the comfort of the Lord always be by your side.

Well Sara, you keep topping yourself here...This reminds me of my childhood. There was a field of ragweed behind our house and in late August an enormous flock of Monarch butterflies would land to feed and rest...A stunning sight to behold...

You so exquisitely displayed hope of the Spring to come within your write; and you will see those Canadian geese leave soon! The Spring air will come with it my friend! We are to get 2-5 inches more of snow (on top of our 8-10 inches we already have on the ground) tomorrow night! Sigh, but there is light at the end of the tunnel...it will get up to 55 degrees at the end of the week! Maybe melting will occur during that time, YAY!! I'm sure things will get back to normal there too! Great Poem!!

Great omen, Sara. I know the hardest hit with the winter's storm will be overjoyed to know that spring has sprung. Love to see the Canadian Geese making their way across the sky.

A sign I have never heard of. But it has something to do with the title. We still have the eighth inch of sleet from yesterday 15 degrees.
