Ancestors
The poet's daughter
and the painter's son
found true love
in each other's arms.
Together they were married.
Their children were many,
their hearts were full.
The land became better,
as love was known by all.
They danced before the King.
They laughed joyously,
at the very miracle of their lives.
Words were written,
to share and pass down.
Pictures were drawn,
to give life to yesterday,
while keeping inline
with tomorrow.
Later their children
would tell their stories
again,
and again.
Their children...
would do the same.
The common thread of connection,
tended to by the Keeper of the garden
we all walk within,
during every season...
of our lives.
