An Unfair Farewell

Do not speak i see the fear

Show a smile wipe off that tear

Close your eyes I'll be right here

Do not fret and do not speak

Dry those teardrops from your cheek

I will not be gone for long

In case i am here is a song

Strong for me i wish and pray

In case you know I cannot stay

In your heart i forever be

See make sure you are happy

Even though you can't see my face

Picture mine I'll be with you anyplace

If I told you this was a lie

I know damn well that you would die

So I say it to keep you safe

Don't count sheep and do not pace

Your heart is to big of a place

So in the words you once told me

Love is for the living and sleep is for the dead

Though its true it's metaphor

It leads you to another door

And even though it sounds like dread

I died in your heart but not your head

So please wipe off that tear

Though I'm gone I'll be right here
