White Wolf Poet Sonnet

An Ode To Poetry:

I'm enthralled by all the great poetry,
Nothing else can open up the locked door,
It's amazing and inspiring to me,
And isn't that what poetry is for?

Not the first time I've written on this, though,
And it won't be the last this you will see,
From all the poetry I've got to know,
The sonnets my favourite it's queen bee.

But that's the beauty in controversy,
Poetry means different things to us,
I know how dear it is to you and me,
The best poetry reads with little fuss.

Edgar Allan Poe and Kahlil Gibran,
To name two that I am a great fan.

Chris Green November 2, 2016 at 8:22 AM Poetry is everything and anything, at times it is nothing at all but always something. Wait, does that make sense? Loved your piece my friend, poetry is so many things to so many different people. I enjoy most that I read, only when poem becomes a personal attack on someone do I stop reading. But most of all, I, like you appreciate all of the poets here, it takes guts to post your emotions and feelings for the world to see and I give them all a thumbs up for trying and doing their best.
