The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

An Ode to Morning Coffee

A jolt of dark bean-juice wakes my slack jaw,
Steam dances like tiny ghosts, what the heck do I saw?
Mug trembles, I mutter to avoid mortal sin,
“More cream! More sugar!” I plead, let sweetness win.

Bitter mug warrior, I salute your fierce taste,
Without you mornings feel like hours laid to waste.
Oh coffee, sweet caffeinated lord—do it again!

I so loved the enthusiasm. There is nothing better than a cup of coffee, Java, Joe, etc. First thing in the morning. Good read!

Beautiful ode. Coffee without sugar and cream is indeed a bitter potion. But many like it that way.

What a creative/fun coffee write you have here. Love It... I only drink decaffeinated with some milk or cream. Love it hot or ice cold. "Good Luck" We both did this one. Have a fun day writing away with a cup of coffee...............
