I need, once more, an hour of rain Cleansing away the residue of living Until only the freshest waters remain This hour, to myself, I am giving Cleansing away the residue of living I drench the roots of my spiritual tree This hour, to myself, I am giving To clear the kismet forest of debris I drench the roots of my spiritual tree Drinking full the aquatic, purified air To clear the kismet forest of debris I undress the stress, to discard elsewhere Drinking full the aquatic, purified air To replenish serene crystal streams, anew I undress the stress, to discard elsewhere Sourcing in the vaporous prisms of blue To replenish serene crystal streams, anew Until only the freshest waters remain Sourcing in the vaporous prisms of blue I need, once more, an hour of rain. 10/22/18 Submitted to 'Strength through Adversity' contest Sponsor: Gregory R. Barden Placed 7th I was just learning how to write a Pantoum poem, so this was a tricky new form for me-

Wow! You really 'plugged in' on this one, Michelle. Such a great choice of format (pantoum) for the Zen contest. A sure winner, and a FAVe for me. Excellent! ~ Gershon

This is amazing Michelle and a fine example of a not so easy form. "I drench the roots of my spiritual tree" and "Sourcing in the vaporous prisms of blue" are my favorite, but I like it all! Well done!................pat

Thank you Pat - I find, with pantoums, I actually start with the last stanza and work up from there, kind of 'writing in reverse' if you will-
