An Eternal Moment

We became close as we danced to the beat of our hearts into eternity. And upon that beat, we became mesmerized in each other's glory. I inhaled the scent of that moment to the very last second. It mixed well with sweet aroma that radiated from her skin. Drawing me in like pheromones. We locked eyes and then I paused just to internalize it all. It was a mere moment of only maybe 4 seconds. But it seemed to last a lifetime. Because for that span of time I looked to the past and to the future. Remembering how things were and how things would, could, and probably will be. The foreshadowing of my dreams coming true. That moment, that decision, I knew would change my life forever. And I would eternally sense nostalgia every second following. From that moment on, now and forever, her essence would linger in my mind. Love began to step from the shadows into the light and after the slightest kiss, it would fully emerge like morning sun rays. I gazed into the gloss in her eyes and the specks of light as they enlightened my soul. Turning back from the touch of our lips would be impossible. Falling in love with her would change me indefinitely. To point that our love and the memory of her would be embedded in my DNA. And then suddenly, I let myself fall into an intoxication fueled by dopamine. The desire for the four letter word that I could only define as her and I, defined itself. We kissed and eternity began its reign of magic on our hearts of condensed passion. And now there's no looking back. Because she will forever be a part of my future.
