Notes About The Poem

A TONGUE IN CHEEK POEM ...BUT ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO I WROTE A ENTRY FOR NINA'S CONTEST BUT DIDN'T POST IT THEN WENT ON HOLIDAY FOR A FEW DAYS AND I CAN'T LOCATE MY LINES ANYWHERE

An Appealing Poem

I cannot find my contest poem
(It would have been a first place winner)
Alas, my first thoughts I cannot show em!

I scrawled down notes when preparing dinner -
perchance they fell in Tiddles litter tray
as my loose leaf pad is so much thinner.

If I locate my lines by contest day
I’ll appeal to our sponsor named Nina
then swap my poem, to that which went astray

But what if Nina starts acting meaner
because I tried to bend her strict rules -
my contest wins will be so much leaner...

Only time will tell if rules are for fools!

Congratulations, Jan, looks like Nina wasn't 'meaner' after all!

I'm just happy to be on the winner's list Michelle and I couldn't resist rhyming Nina with meaner and she has a great sense of humour which helps:-) hugs jan xx

I'm now at a point where I will get up to get or do something, take three steps, and completely forget what it was! At least I've (finally) put a small notepad next to my nightstand so I can scribble my thoughts while I've got them - hope you find your poem soon, Jan!

Try a cup of tea and relax; every word is in your brain somewhere although Murphy's Law predicts they won't be forthcoming until after the contest closes. Naught to worry as the exercise is good for you! Aloha! Rico
