American Dream

AMERICAN DREAM

George Washington – father of our nation,
remember him in this generation,
and founders, for leading the causation
which led to signing a declaration,

that our freedom would not have cessation,
our votes would keep up the conversation,
strong thoughts would not lead to degradation
and people would have fair legislation,

as they give honest examination
to the precepts, giving affirmation,
to promote prodigious augmentation,
by and for the people, long duration.

I was inspired to write because I met two people in the same day that did not know George Washington was the first USA president.
