America, America, Land of My Birth

America! America! Land of my birth I sing to you with utmost pride in my heart Many treasures we still must unearth I am so saddened when we are apart. CHORUS How I love to sing of America, America, My home, the country of my birth, How I love to sing of America, America, There’s no other place like her on earth. The sweetest sounds in my repertoire: America! America! Land of my birth, Strumming along on an acoustic guitar None surpasses her grandeur or worth. I’d rather be here than any place on earth Where I feel free to venture and succeed America! America! Land of my birth, When someone berates you, I still bleed. I understand why immigrants come here Seeking asylum or to find a reason for mirth, For there’s no other place in this hemisphere [Like] America! America! Land of my birth!

I wish I knew someone who could put this to music, Caren. I play piano, but I never learned to write music. Thanks for your comment.
