Am I Only Dreaming

Feeling this, what has become of this day
This day, these words I spill
what place from my heart did they originate
Yes, plans can change
but what has provoked them from seeping out
Stunned, no dramatization
Captivated, no reaction
it only took one night and I'm suddenly addicted
Her sweet, soft brown eyes along with her alluring voice
My mind has shattered, broken
She has taken over
No obsession, just an unseen addiction
still trying to shake the cobwebs
pinch myself awake, am I only dreaming
date #3 tonight, maybe I am
I can only hope that I don't slip and fade
There isn't a collar on my neck
She isn't pulling me by a leash
just my heart on my sleeve
and hopefully it will help me
What has become of this
I can't stop feeling this
