Although Everything's Changed
Though everything seemed the same,
We appreciated the differences which came.
Love was no longer in the air, but became rain,
Pouring down, washing away all of our pain.
Seemingly everything had suddenly changed,
But even then we’re still both slightly deranged.
Love was no longer so difficult to be found,
Rather it’s always within ourselves, yet all around.
Though everything’s different than it used to be,
We finally have a love even everyone else can see.
Love no longer just once a feeling,
As we cherish this new beginning.
Seemingly nothing for us will ever be the same,
But we’re relieved of a sadness we believed we couldn’t tame.
Love truly all the more meaningful,
With these sincerest of words so plentiful.
