All the Music Murdered


All the music murdered
as the Empire falls
the colour pink from 
the fading blushing cheeks 
of broken angels 
breath sucked away
school bells toll death 
dark creatures Dementors
pistol legions burning parades
constant and strong
now fly in weekly 
through open doors

Le Diablo pats the ombré backs
of quacking leaders  
their passive bills carrying bullets 
too late the redeemable exchange 
as the world is painted black 
days of darkness
forget the colour grey
hearts cut on silent shores
watch the horror unfolding
shocked for words
terrified sorrow turns appalled
the nightmare never goes away

All the music murdered
as the Empire falls
suffer the little children

its beautiful ones 
harmonies all slaughtered
innocent symphonies

silenced in scores

WOW!!! What a write. You have an amazing way to say something. Love your line, "All the music murdered as the Empire falls suffer the little children." Evil is still Evil. Good and bad all start in the home. Children learn from what they see/hear/feel. All homes should be loving but they are not. God help them all as only You can.................

I am Australian living outside of America. We have crime over here. But nothing like the gun crime in the U.S. As a mother, and as a decent human being, my heart goes out to those children who lost their lives, the children that remain who are traumatised, their siblings and other children in their extended families that remain and the children who watch on through the media the unravelling and constant violence and murder - who must be traumatised and in a sense are placed in a state of fear to now attend school, play freely with their friends and live their lives normally, with the darkness that is evolving - extreme violence and gun crime in this world. Wars at home and around the world.

I'm not suggesting the 18 year old shooter is innocent of the crime. Something or someone has triggered that young man (and others like him) to murder and remove others from their own lives and destroy the lives and futures of the parents, siblings, extended family, friends that remain alive and left to deal with the horror and dibilitating life altering trauma that will never leave them. However, it is adults who are placing guns in the hands of children. It is adults 'so-called' leaders (politicians) who pass the bills, it is adults who sell the guns or give children access to the guns. It is adults the 'so-called' moral and those that separately are regarded criminal (although one has to question the criminal element within politics), who turn a blind eye to corrupting the children.

Adults in the majority are the ones who are shaping the depression and mental disorders and triggers that children carry through into their damaged adult lives. Remove and destroy all guns - it is certain other weapons of choice will be found. But gun laws have to drastically change and become more tight and safe to stop the shooting of children in schools, the senseless shooting of any - child or adult. Something must happen to stop it. Now. America is meant to be "leader" nation of the Western World. It fails miserably with guns and violence within its homeland. I think a lot of people will be feeling the despair and sadness now, it is very tragic and it is very sad that it has come to this...our world is a complete shambles.

Have we all become that de-sensitised? Certainly politicians passing gun laws have - what will it take to stop the senseless slaughter of innocent children?

It is very sad, so very very sad. Children killing children. Adults placing guns in their hands, screwing with their vulnerable minds. All the anti-depressants in the world, could not extinguish the mental anguish felt at present by many decent human beings. Hell on Earth.
