All the Little Pieces
Fragments and crumbs of life, all the little pieces
Your cousins and your wife, your nephews and your nieces
Your kids and your grand kids; their elbows and their kneeses
The hugs and kisses they hand out and all their little squeezes
Your pets both big and small; Great Danes or Pekineses
Your triplets and your twins and even Siameses
And all those trips you took in hot times or in freezes
The weather in your life through calm or gentle breezes
And when you hit it big; your name on the marquises
When you were in perfect health and all your coughs and sneezes
If you could do it all again in multiple reprises
You’d find that all these crumbs of life are all that ever pleases
