All That Because of Glory

I remember the old you sitting next to me You were innocent yet well determined Those eyes were hungry to learn I could feel the passion deep inside Day by day, you learned from me Became a man who you always wanted to be Felt proud to see you grow Wearing honor on your waist But more than that was the glory A triumph that you never dreamed of Those medals hanging on your neck The claps of a happy crowd All that was because of me I was part of everything I was part of your victory Then suddenly, you changed You were no longer the man I used to know Determination wasn’t there The passion slowly fades Because you were already drowned Overwhelmed and too proud To be the best man in the ring The trace of humility vanished Forget who you really are But bear in your mind You could fly high as eagle Reach the peak of the sky But when you’ll lose your wings Your dreams are going to die
