All She Will Be Needing

She smells of stale garbage and wine Her boots all worn and tattered Stern-faced and stony eyes Dressed in a tired ol' mink She shivers as she takes a rest From pushing her metal cart Squeaking and overflowing with Items reflecting her life She had been warned twice to move The choice was not hers to make Today, like all the others She will walk ten blocks or so In hope to find a warmer place To lay down for the night Just a corner to rest Is all she will be needing She knows this will be over soon The pain gets worse each day Yet, her hopes live on for one more day Her deliverance is on its way! ~*~ *"HOMELESSNESS"

Audrey, I like to read poets older poems and I came back to this, then realized it had been in one of my contests, and I had chosen it as first place, and reading it again, it is very clear why, it is stunningly beautiful in its pain and helplessness ~~

~ "You Are Soo Very Special That, It Almost Takes My Breath Away" ~ I am sincerely regretful for failing to view "Your Treasurous Words" until this late hour of the night dear lady but, sometimes, because of my failure to do so as of most of my returns time here at Soup, I get caught up in comming to others and just keep going but, believe me dear, "You," have been upon my mind throughout it all ~ ....Cont:)

Smile ~ I am surely not smiling upon the somberness of this unfortunate truth amid this world wherein we live "Dear Beautiful Audrey Carey;" I am smiling because, whenever I behold "Your Beauty" for some reason as of late, my heart feels warm inside....Smile, I love this poems compassionate reflection of "Your Beautiful Heart and Soul Dear," for, it just reinforces my belief that ~ ....Cont:)
