Notes About The Poem

- All Know Peter Daim, the Invisible Man -

You can see him
an invisible man
Peter Daim
is his name
He is weathered and gray
An invisible man
but you can see him

An invisible man
No one accepts him
But everyone knows him
Poor, dirty and unshaved
Everything he owns
he has in a plastic bag
His precious treasures
He's an invisible man
but you can see him

Under the bridge
where the shadows are
he sleeps at night
Invisible and just him alone
Peter Daim
has no coins
He lives of our
food that we throw
What we call garbage
Everyone sees him go hungry and thirsty
We turn around
Because he is an invisible man

WoW! There he is. I think I would take him to a shelter and see if I could get him some clean clothes, a bath and a good meal with a warm place to sleep. Even if I have to pay from my own pocket. Many of these people are veterans and should have better. Great job. A seven from me. Love the pic. JB

We have a Peter Daim, his name is Bill. But we see him and when he needs food we, the community feed him. He's a talented musician, such a shame to see the talent he has go to waste. As for the poem Anne-Llise, it was a beautiful piece of writing.

You did a good poem on the invisible theme, Anne-Lise. We can picture this man that we have all seen at one time or other.

Great write Sunshine. These poor ones become "invisible" because we refuse to "see" them. Rather, we see right "through" them.

How many "invisible" men are around the world one cannot say. One thing is certain thought that the turn of events could make one "Invisible" overnight! A fantastic writing with an ethical overtone that we had better not to ignore! A seven dear Anne-Lise! Hugs

Sunshine, anyone that doesn't know or hasn't seen a "Peter Daim" doesn't live on planet Earth! You've written a real eye opener for all who thought that their eyes were already open! Anyone who reads this will now forever "see" the Peter Daims! A sad but much needed write!
