All Creatures

God gave us creatures
both big and small.
With many beautiful features,
to keep us enthralled.

Dogs, cats, birds,
small animals and species galore,
each time I think,
I find there is more.

These loving creatures,
he gave us for our companionship,
to make us forget our problems,
and for comfort and friendship.

It upsets me always,
when I drive on the streets,
to see a stray animal,
someone refused to keep.

These little creatures,
are pushed out of their homes.
They are left hungry and
the streets they roam.

They are God's gifts to us,
for comfort and joy.
Not to be thrown away,
like a child's broken toy.
