Alive We Cried

Alive we cried In the darkness of the night it is then that my soul comes alive! When the city retires for the evening Night owls we creep Allowing our thoughts to run wild Like a peaceful protest With a slight touch of a well planned out riot We march on and fight not with stones But with words Setting the scene on fire Chatting our slogans of poetic justice Hoping to inspire souls Those who remain on the sidelines Watching this world we live Pass on by Like a verse from Pharcyde Life keeps on passing you by How longer will your voice go unheard? Paint the canvas of your world With the colors that splash With brightness Will you change your world? From living in black and white One spark is all that is needed To ignite the consuming fire within Blaze those words Become a wildfire Watch it as it grows A beautiful Chaos in the mind Let it burn Enjoy the aftermath
