Alive
I go about my everyday life
Trying so hard to concentrate
But nothing is the same nothing
I’m usually up and out and about
Much to do world’s to conquer
Music to write and songs to sing
House needs attending, cat’s need food
But all is just a silly pretence
I’m waiting, waiting, waiting for the click
The sounds that say’s an E-Mails here
Click, click, click, click
No! It’s just another lot of junk adverts
Click , click, click, click
A friend invites me out for tea
Click, click, click, click
A meeting to attend to and respond
Click, click, click, click
My theatre tickets have arrived
Click, click, click, click
It’s him, it’s him, it’s him
The world awakens and my spirits fly
Every word digested, every thought, every line
My heart pounds my senses roar
The words so what I want to hear
I am once more ALIVE! ALIVE! ALIVE!
