Alive
From the rim of the Stanislaus,
On the shoulders of trees.
To the valley of the sacred,
Is where I seek clarity.
Warmth of sun on my face,
Sweet smells fill the lungs.
Revel in your own joy,
For this moment you have come.
Amongst the fellowship of giants,
Their stories told through the breeze.
I bask in their glory,
The body finds its ease.
Take pause at the falls,
And the water they bleed.
For they ask not what they want,
They take only what they need.
Lose yourself in the river,
In its flow and all it breathes.
Find peace within,
And your souls reckoning.
Immerse yourself in its womb,
Here it’s song as it sings.
Embrace the power of its truth,
Absorb its energy.
Surrender your senses,
To these moments you make.
Life lost when asleep,
Purpose found in awake.
Shed tears for your past,
For your presence has arrived.
Permission has been granted,
Welcome, to Alive.
