Alaskan Train
The dense smell in air is sobering
But pleasant
You can feel it in your nose
Your mind and soul
You know it is a smell of wonder
It’s coming from nearby meadow vast as sea
The smell of fresh air coming from horizon’s infinity
The smell awakens your essence your spirit
All aboard conductor yells
The voice coming from the front of a train
And soon you are sitting in a wagon of that train
As you gaze through the window you see
Nature in all its majesty
The great meadow
The forests with ancient trees casting a shadow
The mountains filled with terrifying beauty
As you pass the meadow and its beautiful smell
You see forest with many secrets to tell
In it grizzly bear will feast
And wolves live further east
And puma stalks its prey
But there is more coming your way
In forest live spirits older than oldest tree
Even though them you cannot see
You feel their presence in your own soul
You feel them in every chestnut that would fall
You feel them in those eerie rushes by the tracks
You feel them in the mountain avalanche
As great bold eagle flies
Towards linen blue skies
When sitting on a branch of a tree that by the tracks lies
It can see such spirits with its eyes
The spirits send signals to your mind as well
Only most people of their existence cannot tell
But when you see vortex or theory of everything in a dream
That is them communicating with you through the dream
You feel their presence in your own soul
You feel them in every chestnut that would fall
You feel them in those eerie rushes by the tracks
You feel them in the mountain avalanche
