A very true story; it took about 10 weeks to heal.

I would not want to go up against a mockingbird!

Yes, I had one growing up that came in, one day with a big red and white hole in his butt; my Mom cleaned it and put some medicine and a big old Kotex around it; he had to be carried in, out, to and from his box and meals; it was so painful for him to walk. When he was healed and able to go out again; we noticed the mocking birds, dive-bombing him from both sides. We got him back inside and that's where he stayed until their little ones had flown away. Thanks.
