Aging

This later time in life
I presume nothing;
no longer await with
joyful anticipation nor
fear – a year’s end
seems further out of
reach, focused more
on the moment I can
whittle away. Better
somehow live the present
regardless...reface what
I can – for death has no
future; love~ dimming
as memory.

Oy. I feel every line of this, Joe. The days dwindle and the window narrows. Yet life goes on.

I know...a drag isn't it. I think it is more difficult for those truly embraced life. Only had one speed, Full Forward. We hang in there my friend. What the heck.

Yes, independence is important. But if two independents can keep each other company, better for that I think. What do I know? Being alone is not healthy.

I enjoyed reading this write about "Aging." Many years ago a dear friend said, "honey the golden years are not so golden." She had health and money but did Not like getting old. Guess if we live, we get old. Still only 25. Hahahha!!! Have Autumn Blessings As You Write Away.............

Stay twenty-five! Or as Jack Benny, no older than 39. Good attitude. Blessings my friend.

Fight to hold onto your mind. Learn a foreign language. Learn a musical instrument if the body allows. Listen to different composers. Write stories, poetry. Meditate. Pray. Allow Divine Light to enter your form, heal your mind and body. We can be consciously aware of presence and the process. Work positively with spirit, for self and others. Mankind needs to unite as one entity in a purified, reclaimed body of Dominion Love.

Yep, old age is not easy for many. Family can help, but sometimes there are none -- good to volunteer when possible. Wife and I are blessed to still have one another. Thank you, Joe.

Let us embrace what comes. At this age we don't have much reason for hopeful anticipation nor any reason to fear. Though memory may dim, if we can sustain love from dimming, our life is worthwhile. Great penning, dear Joe.

Hi Valsa; it can be an insurmountable struggle for some. Indeed, hold onto love, even at the sacrifice of other senses. Love is the only think of value we can take with us when leaving this earth. Blessings my friend. Have a wonderful weekend.
