Against the Light
Facing the silent sea,
he sits in silhouette
against the light
of the scarlet sunset.
In stillness
of stolen gazes,
at seagulls taking flight
he hums~
geriatric euphony.
His languid voice
soars like a delicate dandelion~
and finally finds me.
