Afternoon Whisperings (Double Etheree)
AFTERNOON WHISPERINGS (double Etheree)
Woods
Deep dark
But just see
An open spot
A verdant clearing
Where I spread my blanket
Run my hands through wild clover
Settle down my head in the clouds
Billowing but sparse and distant
A rustle in the forest brings me round
Sun
Through trees
Warm drifting
Just sniff the air
Sense the tiny flakes
Particles are unseen
Except in afternoon sun
That thing of mind goes whispering
Breathing summer secrets in my ear
“You are never alone
never alone”
