Aftereffects
When she asks about your scar
she doesn't want to hear it's there
because fibroblasts grow quicker
than normal cells and form thick layers.
She wants to hear an exotic story
of daredevil adventure on the final frontier,
and to hear you exclaim modestly,
"It's just a scratch, really!"
