After Your Loving Visit
After Your Loving Visit
Quiet, so quiet,
Like the inside of a great rock,
Each minute passing by,
You are farther away.
The days of love and lingering,
The kisses, the pleasing, have gone,
Your RPM’s are countless,
You are farther away.
My rooms are shaded by that solar eclipse,
And for me there won’t be another,
Will I see you, hear your kindly voice again?
Quiet, so quiet today.
