After The Hurricane

The dreaded hurricane mowed down the trees and splintered homes within its chosen path. Though untold damages had wrecked the land- at least, it seemed the hurricane had passed. But further down- where the sea hugs its shore, lined with horizon's edge- came rolling in that wave of water- racing, moving fast; a grave encore to heighten fear that day. The huge Tsunami pushed on past the shore enveloping whatever lay ahead; progressing far and deep- to wash away- disintegrate all trapped within its rush. The force swept boats and bodies, with debris- spared by the recent hurricane's wild reach, to be usurped by the Tsunami's plan- to drown and kill for miles beyond the storm. After the hurricane- disaster grew. The anger from the sky brought wind and rain, but ocean waves kidnapped that mighty wind- let the Tsunami win dark nature's game.

Wow, Sandra. Nice work. I could feel the terror of the tsunami. So many people experience this. My brother in Panama City had his trees taken as last year's storm hurtled through. Keep up the good work.
