Adrift
I awaken to something awry, I float as a
Wanderer between the plains of day and night
Amidst the clouds and winding streets.
An outward compass points opposite the right
Yet, an inner voice shall be my guide
The moon shines in the sky so bright
And the sun awaits it chance to break day
What feet shall travel this road tonight?
Where there is no room for the hearts of the faint
Hurry calls the callous compass, do not stray…
However, the inner voice tells me, Not today
For the route the compass must take
Seems easy enough, for the fool to follow`
But the long winding road journeys
Towards brighter tomorrows
No longer adrift — it is the Way of Truth
That this once wandering soul now follows…
