Your death hit me very hard I’d sat by your side until the machine stopped bleeping. Your chest remained still as you’d taken your final breath I wept as I closed your eyes, kissing your icy cheek I whispered adieu my darling FICTION POEM Writing Challenge January, 2019- Fibonacci - Poetry Contest Sponsored by Dear Heart Checked with how many syllables 1/1/19

I am happy to know this is fictional Jan. I feel for those who have to say goodbye in this way. Your poem expresses that anguished love so well. I think Constance will really like this one! Best of luck in the contest. xxoo

Constance likes them sad, and I bet that is the best way to do this challenge for her. Glad to see this was just fiction, Jan. I would hate to see this happen to someone in front of me!

Yes I wrote sad as i know Constance likes melancholy writes I much prefer silly poems which make people smile - too much sadness in many lives I've got people who come to read my poems on a regular basis because most of the time I make them smile:-) hugs Jan xx

This is the type of poem that could make someone cry. I wrote a poem called "Paul's Gone" when my father died and read it at the funeral. I think my sister read some Wordsworth who was one of my father's favorite wordsmith. I like Coleridge a lot - especially Xanadu. Peace & Love Matthew Anish

I wrote a poem called the crying candle and read it at my father's funeral, several of the mourners asked me for a copy as they found it so moving:-) hugs Jan xx
