Act One
I walk on the sidelines,
Yet all eyes trace my back.
No one follows in my wake,
I glide as one, across a stage.
Lights dim, crowds hush,
The act has begun.
With a grin, I play the role,
A lone figure, not themselves, but far greater.
Greater, is it?
I cannot be fooled.
But you can.
