Across the Sky

I was walking barefoot along the beach. It was a sundrenched beautiful day. A Seagull overhead, almost within reach. Then it quickly turned and flew away. A gust of wind caught my spirit and let it fly. It began to soar upon gossamer wings. It felt light as a feather as it danced across the sky. I heard the ocean's music, my heart began to sing. The island wind lifted my spirit to a new height. I wanted to fly through the clouds and beyond. Where my dreams could become my heart's delight. No longer in shadows, my heart and soul respond. Soon the sun was fading, creating a softer light. The glorious rays illuminating the clouds were gone. The joyful part of me welcomed the night. Heavenly bodies of stars, will guide my spirit on.

Sandra, Across The Sky, is yours alone. Such a personal flight it seemed. The Seven Seas assail the islands of our life. And we are never left untouched. -Richard

Thank you Richard. Your lovely comments bring questions with them that I have to take time to ponder. And the comments are also poetically beautiful.
