Acoustic visions that I had rejected
Brightening hearts with dreams perfected
Whispering faith through my soul
With lavender wishes that would console
Painting affection across my thoughts
Leaving my feelings tied up in knots
Caressing my smile so that it is amplified
Gracing eternal hopes that would abide
Guitar images glide through my mind
Enriching my life with joy and love combined
Music so wise it lifts the broken hearted
With a melody so alive it is uncharted
Notes ring and cling to the edges of my mind
Where the breaths of harmony are so very kind
Playing out the praises that drift to God’s ear
Lighting up the heavens with love He can hear
Making a joyful noise that rings life to the harkening
Echoing through hearts, lighting where it’s darkening
Gentle songs and hymns grace the longing heart
With joy, hope and love that God does impart
Through the caress of a voice ringing with wonders
Rain or sun, the embrace of the chorus thunders
Sounds of laughter kissing the choir with delight
Ringing through the sweet moments into the twilight
Without this caress from the voices so alive with joy
There would be no blessed tune for God to enjoy
Praising with the cry that drifts up to His throne
With voices that vibrate with the light they’ve shown
