Accepting Me

There are moments when l feel l don’t belong Not singing in tune to the right song Not dancing in time to the right beat Not walking straight with my two left feet When younger it bothered me Thought someone else l should be Now l know and love who l am I no longer give a damn !

I love that last punch line to your poem. Some times it's hard to self-love but my spiritual teacher used to say that "charity begins at home". I think that was exactly what he meant.

Thanks Nancy…..my mum said similar “ christianity starts at home” were her words. Accepting ones self is not always easy but once you do that inner turmoil eases or disappears! I really appreciate your kind words Nancy…..Debx
