Acceptance of the Heart

My heart dances with divine contentment.
To be loved as I am leaves me breathless.
You chose me with many imperfections.
Took my hand and drew me close.
Longing for the hauntings of my past to fade.
Tears trickled down my cheeks.
As the peace consumes my being.
Drifting off to a land of tranquility.
Dreams of ecstasy fill me with such joy.
To be free of the bondage forever more.

Oh, this is a beautiful express of redemption, forgiveness and resting in a new relationship with Christ. How often I am "haunted by my past." Excellent work.

What a wonderful compliment Brian. For so many years I tried to hide from my past. I found God's grace and mercy. Everything has changed and I look to him for guidance and direction now. Awwww thank you. I'm a very lucky lady :-). Writing is my passion. Often my thoughts consume me and I need to express them on paper. I'm so glad you took the time to read my poems.
