Notes About The Poem

About War

War is about
forms of revenge
fear and hate
wasted energy
war has been fought
for centuries
man has been
fighting for things
clinging to things
not realizing
what kind of things
to cling to
we understand
the need for peace
yet we cannot
find peace’s path
imagine
there’s no war
there would be
no sadness
heartbroken mothers
weeping wives
lost children
war destroys life
peace embraces
with each breath
there is security
without thirst
only fulfillment

I have no knowledge of this form but you certainly wrote a very fine poem using it!! A7 War is death walking this earth, seeking its prey. O' the day, the day- That God may SEE- and hear every man, every man , TO HIM PRAY.

I always find ones ability to express one thoughts with a conservation of words, the best of poetry. Great job Ed, I'll be back for more.

Edward, war's what keeps the world in bad shape. Deep verse, nothing good comes from it. Not even on the side that conquers. Enjoyed. SKAT
